Cellular Accumulation of T-2 Toxin in Tissues of Chick Embryo Identified by Immunohistochemical Method

|
Immunohistochemical examination using antibody against T-2 toxin was carried out to investigate the cellular accumulation of T-2 toxin injected into chick embryo on 10th day. The liver showed a very intense localization of T-2 toxin in 20 day old chick embryo, in which the toxin was detectable around blood vessel. The majority of T-2 toxin in intestine was localized within epithelium of the villi. Immunohistochemical staining of fabricius bursa showed an accumulation of T-2 toxin between the lobules, whereas the toxin was not found in thymus, spleen and bone marrow.
